Under a Wild Wolf Moon
For centuries, a clan of
Shapeshifters, the Clann Mac Tire
(Irish Gaelic for "children of the wolf" has co-existed with
wolves, both in Ireland and finally in America. However, the
lure of the modern world and encroachment of man into wolf
habitat are threatening the existence of both the Clann and
the wolf packs in and around Destiny, Montana. There is a
prophecy that in the Clann's darkest hour, there will come an
Alpha pair unlike any other, and together they will thwart the
evil within and revive The Clann. It's time the Clann Council
chooses a new alpha pair to lead them, but are there any left
in the Clann capable of saving it and the wolf packs? Will
they stay and accept their destiny?
Twenty-five year old wolf
researcher, SIOBHAN DOYLE, lost
her parents and her memory thirteen years ago. Unable to find
any family for Siobhan, an eccentric recluse, MAEVE DOYLE,
adopted and raised Siobhan until five years ago, when Siobhan
had to leave Montana for her own safety. Sheriff SEAMAS
MCMAHON and Maeve have summoned Siobhan home, promising to
reveal all the secrets of her past.
What Siobhan doesn't know is
that Maeve, former Clann
druid priestess, is her maternal grandmother and Seamas,
another Clann member, her paternal grandfather. Siobhan's
parents were murdered the night Siobhan had her memories
magically, if temporarily, erased in order to keep her
survival and subsequent whereabouts secret. Now that the
Clann Council knows of her existence, they want Siobhan to
follow in her grandmother's steps as Clann priestess and
become the female half of the alpha pair, but hurt by an
affair with her previous project lead, Siobhan has no desire
to become part of any pair, least of all her new project lead.
Thirty-year old FAELAN
CONROY, a renowned wolf researcher
and Siobhan's new project leader, is returning to Destiny for
reasons of his own. His father, EAMON CONROY, the current
alpha male, has suffered a massive stroke, leaving the family
ranching business and the Clann's affairs in disarray. Faelan
left Destiny the night of Siobhan's parents' murders believing
he saw Eamon standing over the barely-living body of Siobhan.
Faelan rescued Siobhan by quickly getting her to Seamas and
consequently to Maeve for healing. Now Faelan is the magical
"trigger" for the return of Siobhan's memory, another reason
he must return to Destiny.
The Clann Council wants a
Conroy, Faelan, his younger
brother, TRISTAN, or QUINN, their cousin and son of Eamon's
acquisitive younger brother, KIERAN, as the alpha male to
succeed Eamon. Faelan is ambiguous about becoming alpha
and has no intention of settling down any time soon, but is
determined to do what is necessary to repair the family
business...and find out the truth about Eamon's involvement
in Siobhan's parents' deaths and attempted murder of Siobhan.
