Coffee Time Romance, Matilda, December 2006
Rating: 4 cups
"Charity Donovan is an average forty-something divorcé with two grown
kids. She is not one to step out of the box. When she met Gavin at a
friend’s party and left with him, it was so out of character she wondered
what she was doing; especially when he started talking soul mates, time
travel, and her destiny. What did she have to do with all this, and did
Gavin have a few loose screws?
Gavin Carpenter was plucked from a slave’s life to fulfill his destiny as
a Time Dancer. He waited what seemed like forever to be with his soul
mate, Charity. Could he convince her that it was her destiny to be with
him and heal the rifts of time without sounding as if he were crazy?
Gavin must train Charity in many ways for healing the rifts that need
repair. He also finds himself very taken with her; he wants to be her only
lover from now on. Charity finds herself wanting to trust Gavin
completely, no matter how strange it may seem. Her whole world changes
when she becomes a Timedancer. Together their power is great and they must
use it and make major sacrifices in order to fight the ultimate rift.
Doing Time is a story you will want to read over and over. It has kick
butt characters. My personal favorite is Charity because she tells it just
the way it is. It makes you look at yourself and where you are in the
grand scheme of things; of good and evil, and most of all, the choices we
make and why we make them. If you take the time to read this, you will be
pleasantly surprised."

Charity Donovan is of a certain age, divorced, mother of grown children,
and is not looking for an involvement. Her friend, Cammy would like to do
a major makeover on Charity, but that is not to be. No one expected
anything to happen when Cammy's husband, James, invites the man he says
wants to buy a property from Charity to a party. Of course, James does not
know who Gavin is.
Contrary to popular belief, Time is not linear. Think Einstein and the
Theory of Relativity.
Gavin Carpenter is gorgeous, serious eye-candy. He is also a Time Dancer,
nearly immortal, who along with others like him, keep time of track by
fixing catastrophes that could change history as we know it. Charity is
his soul mate.
First, he has to recruit her, and convince her of his reality which will
become hers. They are the only ones who can save the World from
annihilation. They also share some page burning sex.
To tell more would spoil all the surprises. With DOING TIME, Raine
McIntyre takes an improbable premise and makes it plausible. It is a fun,
passion-filled adventure that makes the reader believe. History takes a
licking, but does survive. DOING TIME will make you smile. I recommend it.

Charity Donovan is on the rebound from a marriage she’s better off
out of-not that this makes being alone easy. So when a friend invites her
to a party, and seriously gorgeous Gavin Carpenter wants to discuss
Einstein, she’s willing to wade through a puddle of her own drool to do
it.
What she doesn’t know is that Gavin is in the business of saving time-from
certain elements that can literally destroy it-and he wants her to join
him, both in the business, and as his mate. As a Time Dancer who fixes
rifts in time, he knows that Charity is his perfect mate, and he’s been
waiting for her for centuries.
This is one of those stories that a review cannot do justice to. It is so
thoroughly unique, and so intricately woven, that you simply have to read
it to even begin to appreciate it. And, after reading it-the first time I
have read anything by this author-Raine McIntyre has gone straight to the
top of my 'must have' list.
Not only does she do a wonderful job of portraying characters, she paints
events and dilemmas and interweaves plot elements with a masterful hand.
Her premise is not only totally unique, it’s handled with the aplomb of a
writer who has gained supremacy in her craft. Interweaving romance with a
tense storyline of human and heavenly forces opposing demonic and devilish
foes, she pulls off a story that will have you lost in her world like
Alice falling down the rabbit hole-and not wanting to climb back out any
time soon.
Sexy, smart and scintillatingly sprung on the sensibilities, Triskelion
has a winner in this author’s work, and I can’t highly recommend it
enough.

Gavin is a Time Dancer and Charity is his soul mate. Together they must
save the world, but first Gavin has to convince Charity that he isn’t
crazy. Charity is sure that Gavin isn’t all there, but that can be
forgiven since he is absolutely gorgeous. Then he Time Dances with her and
her entire world is turned upside down. Now Charity has to trust this man
with her heart and her life.
This novel is absolutely fabulous. Charity is a mature woman who knows her
mind and what she wants. Gavin is a strong alpha male and sure to wow any
woman. The secondary characters are well thought out and bring an extra
bit of mystery and depth to the story. Raphael especially is a unique
secondary character. As Charity learns to Time Dance, her character
matures even more and becomes a heroine for whom you wish everything would
go right. The sex is filled with erotic images and fun moments, along with
intensity to beat all others. Together, the Time Dancers bring the reader
into their story. I was aroused, I laughed out loud and I cried throughout
this novel. Thank you, Ms. McIntyre for a great read.
